Just got the word from the fine folks at Roadrunner Records that DragonForce is moving forward without the vocal prowess of ZP Theart.
“It is with great regret that DragonForce announce a parting of the ways with singer ZP Theart. This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion but the rest of the band sincerely wishes ZP great success with his future projects.”
The band has begun a global search for his replacement immediately: “We are looking for a powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of DragonForce with us.” said guitarist Herman Li.

I’m such a sucker when it comes to covers, I’m not afraid to admit that I enjoyed the Punk Goes Series. But Evergreen Terrace have posted a new cover of Foo Fighters Everlong on MySpace (are band really still using MySpace?), I say go check it out, it’s good. But this also has me wondering, is there another Punk Goes 90’s on the way? I hope so.
Holy shit, is Columbus, Ohio, my hometown getting back on the metal map? I fucking hope so. But this is big news, so I feel I should share it with everyone.
Mark your calendars, March 13, for the Second Annual Scion Rock Festival. Just check out the lineup, you’re not going to be disappointed.

Check out Metal Insider for the Complete Detail. And hopefully we can all get some beers together.
In an interview posted on CNN.com today, Moore basically, in so many words, announces her love of heavy metal, and her plans to start a heavy metal band.
Says Moore: “There is a lot of music in the house, whether someone is playing it, or there’s a record on or something. I’ve been introduced to a lot of metal in my relationship, which is pretty cool, because my guy is a big metal fan, and it isn’t something I would necessarily investigate on my own — but I do like it. It’s just nice to have that truly built-in support system that someone is unbelievably understanding of [blah blah blah, something not about metal]”
There was also some other stuff in the interview, I think. Something about how she has officially, legally, changed her name to “Cornish Gamehen”, I dono, I have a short attention span. Check out the full interview here.
I’m so glad I watched this. Fuck Monday’s and Fuck Bret Michaels and his fake fucking hair, and that stupid bandana (yea I wear one too, but I don’t have fake hair). I don’t know the full story behind this, but I don’t think it needs a backstory.
2009 Tony Awards. Bret Michaels “singing”. End Song. Que stage change. Bret wants to be on stage a little long. Head gets lopped off by a massive set piece coming from above.
Bret Michaels + Massiv Ego + Set Piece coming from above = Pure awesomeness!
I try to follow metal, but I don’t follow sports…so this one slipped through the cracks for a couple of days, but it’s still pretty sweet. Check it out if you haven’t seen it already.
WHOA WHOA looky at what 4 dudes, 3 cases of beer, 2 packs of cigarettes, and *cough* can turn up. Yes, you’ve guessed it, our “creative-juices” flowin’, and this the awesome new look for knucklesfirst.com. I would love to say that there are some “new awesome features”, but there isn’t - sorry. BUT, we are chruning up a new plot to take over the world.
Now I will take the time to thank everyone for Brahin’ me dat hundy. That’s AndyMan, Drew, DMSuperman, and Katie Brutal (she just makes us look good.) Dedicated hours (5 (maybe)), lots of yelling and me screaming like a small infant. I thank you.
So cheers to the new look of awesome. And this one is for you.
What in the hell is this? Did I completely miss something? Why in the hell is Job for a Cowboy AND Mortal Decay going to be at a church? I would like to believe that this should have been an April Fools joke.
I’ve done a little research on this. This is what I’ve come up with. NOTHING! The church’s website doesn’t say anything about Job for a Cowboy being there. So if you live in the area, find out for me, and let me know what in the hell is going on.
Dying Fetus is entering Wright Way Studios in Baltimore, MD to work on their next album, slated for release in the fall. Of course, it will be EPIC. And BRUTAL.
We’ll see them on tour alongside Suffocation, Origin and Necrophagist on the Summer Slaughter tour which kicks off in their home town at Sonar on June 5th. This has been your official Dying Fetus update.
